Euphoria, Anger and Disappointment...

There are so many moments in life when we are immensely ecstatic and other moments that include intense anger. When we are about to get the result of something and expect it to be fruitful, we suddenly start being extra nice and sweet with the Supreme (God). I mean that its not that bad that we suddenly and immediately start praying because its just a human tendency to do so. And when that very same result is bad, we turn so bitter with God. Some people become agnostic or atheists for a similar logic. I guess this is how our bond is with God and in any relationship we have with another human being. But, why is it so that we turn our backs to God and at the time of need, we fall at His feet and start hailing Him? So, today we will be candidly discussing about this question.

Without being an actual hypocrite, I practice the exact thing. Whenever my exam score is about to be released, I begin chanting all the hymns I know, pleading for Him to have my back. When something fruitful happens, I promise him a plethora of things that I will definitely do such as going to the temple and  offering some sumptuous sweets like ladoos(balls of sweetness) while paying obeisance to Lord Krishna (the God I am a devotee of). In fact, whenever I end up in a hot soup I chant his name-Hare Krishna, Hare Ram(reincarnations of Lord Vishnu). I get immense solace and serenity. By the way, they are quite some renowned idols for the people of North India due to the vast history once again. Without any further deflection, one day I was watching a TV series on Lord Krishna- RadhaKrishn in which at the end of every episode he gives a new moral of life. In one of the episodes, He expressed that why is it that His people come to him only at the time of need and not simply for love? This practice was gradually observed from the Satya Yuga which majorly intensified in the Kali Yuga as materialism grew. This actually gave me a huge epiphany. I even questioned my subconscious and tried to understand why. Think about it this way- We tell our parents that we are all grown up to ride the bigger bicycles now and once we fall terribly we come back crying to our own parents. This scenario is akin to our relation with God. We do say that we love him unconditionally and so does he. But, then why doesn't he just support us in certain situations? Well, there comes our karma. God obviously doesn't decide that he is my favorite child so I will help him only. He just enforces that the Karmas are implied. If you receive the proper fruits of life, that means you have basically done something awesome and benefic in your previous life as each soul travels at least seven lives. Afterwards, he reaches moksha. We really don't know about our actions in the previous life so its better that we try our best in the current one although we might feel let down by God or life. Its inevitable that life will push us back with consecutive dilemmas however overlook the blessings  juxtaposed with it. Sometimes, you just have to envision a bit more ahead and ricochet all the predicaments that traverse through the trajectories of life. So, whenever you receive the fruits or not, it does not mean that God has kept his favorites but your karmas have. Euphoria, anger, disappointment come by just with your karmas. So, you should maintain your relationship with God, a Supreme energy that could enforce your good karmas and help justice prevail in your life.
