In all the previous posts, we have been talking about spiritualism, Gods, energies, souls and hymns. Spirituality happens to be a very subjective topic. According to me, it not only refers to a strong bond with God but also relates to your emotions as well as how practical you are with your daily life. A complete balance which is unlike following a single religion frantically, with all the futile myths and baseless superstitions. There is another significant topic that falls under the realm of spirituality- the human state of mind.

The current situation is that the entire world is under a lockdown due to the epidemic- COVID-19. Due to this, everyone is sending messages to save Earth and to preserve its pristinity. In my previous Earth Day post, I asserted that first of all its imperative to change yourself before changing the world. Now, what does this refer to? This indicates personal excellence and personality development. According to Hindu mythology, we have approached the kali yuga which tends to stress people out and *psychosomatic symptoms have become pervasive all over the world. People start believing that this is destiny and the fate which Almighty has planned for them. However, not all of this is correct.

Recently, I started a reading a book on personal excellence that encapsulates the journey of a depressed man to one who perceives life with a mantra"Joie de Vivre". They say that we are the product of our surroundings. For example, if we live in a negative environment we believe that we have a bad fate and resign to whatever God has planned. Isn't it weird? Would it hurt to see life the other way around? The thing that makes us unique from others is our different level of thinking....In the book I am currently reading, the author says that in this universe 10% something actually happens to us and it’s 90% of what our mind perceives. Here is the time when the caveat-“ All is in the mind”, comes most appropriate....If we try to protect ourselves from pessimistic thoughts and see the positive in everything, we may get out of the state of depression. This specific solution is known as Internal Communication Therapy, where you communicate with your own mind. Moreover, it all depends on how your mind tries to find trivial happiness in almost everything. When there is a situation at present, different people react to it differently.....For instance, When the erstwhile prime minister of India- Mrs. Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her bodyguards, some people’s reaction was termed with happiness and satisfaction while some women from South India committed self-immolation.Furthermore, it’s our mind who has actually visualised this universe.
So, try to live life and enjoy every trivial and big moment of it....Keep in mind-Carpé Diem (Seize The Moment).....It’s the level of your thinking that can create a change in your characteristics as well. This therapy has proved to be more effective than yoga or meditation as it is a permanent cure to sadness or frustration which is also a state of mind.

Here are some steps to begin with the Internal Communication Therapy:
1) When you wake up early in the morning, say- “I love you” to yourself in the mirror thrice.
2) Whenever you face some drastic situation, say getting fired suddenly from your job, you should inhale and exhale slowly, while chanting “All is Well”... Afterall, there is a solution to every dilemma.
3) Try to find happiness in every single moment of your life whether it’s big or small.
4) For temporary relief, do mindful meditation and try to do some fun yoga with upbeat music....
5) Making someday’s day, can make your day. Why not compliment someone? It may make you feel good or doing a good deed can indeed make yourself better.👍👌😊

It’s normal to feel frustrated during this lockdown. However, this is the best time to rejuvenate and invigorate yourself. Plus, family quality time is as vital as taking your blood pressure pill as they are the ones who can not only bring a smile on your face but also can prevent you from even getting a hint of a frown on your face.
