Ram Chandra- The Vishnu Trilogy

                             Author- Amish Tripathi

All along, I have been promising my fascinated readers about the book review of the Ram Chandra Series, which majorly inspired me to not only interestingly start this blog but to also get an outright perspective of life, throughout. I assure you that with the help of this book review, you will be unequivocally urged to open the novels and spend day and night thinking about them.

When I usually talk about Hindu Mythology, it is uncertain whether the incidents actually did happen. However, the unforgettable time-periods of India's history, Ramayana and Mahabharata, are frequently reiterated in traditional Indian households as they happen to unravel those concealed facts, knowledge and ethics that can even support the helpless in today's world. Bhagvad Gita, (Bhagvad- God, Gita-Song) is a beautiful narration of the Mahabharta where everything is expressed through God's Song (A video of it has been posted in the blog). For instance, at one point of time, Lord Krishna says that some things are to be left on karmas (Karmic Cycle). Just do in life, rest will be seen. India's rich repository of culture, traditions and history has truly left me speechless yet amazed as it has inspired  me to stay rooted to my cult and kin.

Throughout India's awe-inspiring history, we have observed that in all the time-periods every incarnation of the Hindu Gods has had a journey fraught with suffer and inconvenience, painstakingly protecting the denizens of this world. Upon this, the three novels by the literary popstar, Amish Tripathi:
i) RAM- Scion of Ikshvaku
ii) Sita- Warrior of Mithila
iii) Raavan- Enemy of Aryavarta
reflect the very same thing in each of their personalities. Therefore, today we will discussing the protagonist of Ramayana and Amish Tripathi's Vishnu Trilogy- " RAM- Scion of Ikshvaku".

I. RAM- The Scion of Ikshvaku

The literary popstar of India has undoubtedly put in some effort in spotlighting the Lord's law-abiding personality , patriotism for Ayodhya and the love as well as concern for his countrymen. A law-abiding man who can compromise anything for his beloved brothers and his fierce wife- Sita (Warrior of Mithila). One of the favourite students of Guru Vashishtha (The Leader of the Vayuputras, a tribe left by Lord Rudra(previous incarnation of Lord Shiva)), he is chosen as the Vishnu (Propagator of Good and Nurturing) of the nation, however this may seem like a Herculean task due to the defamation he earned at the time of his birth, the moment his father (The King of The Unconquerable City) was recklessly defeated by the mighty Raavan at the Battle of Karachapa (the trading hub of ancient India). As his position of the Prime Minister of Ayodhya, he definitely made laws that not only brought him popularity but also mended the lifestyles of the citizens. He was a warrior who believed in non-violence and negotiation, opining that laws are what could change everything in this world.Lord Ram’s then stiff relationship with his father transforming into a healthy one, is beautifully described in the novel. His brother, Lakshman who thinks he is a bit too naïve, has always been his protector. Ram’s beloved wife, Sita (The Warrior of Mithila) is the eyes and woman of his success. At the Battle of Mithila, they are able to defeat Raavan by a divine weapon of Lord Rudra however it’s use was forbidden which leads to exile of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman. On the other hand, the battle really hurt Raavan’s egoistic demeanour and so he intends to avenge his murdered ego creating one of the greatest epochs of Indian history- Ramayana. Most of its incidents can be even implemented even today which makes it best as a guide, being emblematic of living a life rife with obstacles and challenges that could be turned into opportunities.

I will leave the thrill of the Ramayana to all of you guys so you can enjoy the novel. Personally, I opine that it’s an amalgamation of thrill, drama, romance, philosophy, science, Indian history, family and at last spirituality. There is no genre that Amish Tripathi misses out on. While reading the book, do catch a glimpse of its trailer as well!!: https://youtu.be/k4xhu9MeIzw
